HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Once you’ve created a GritCycle account login and click on “BUY NOW”.  You can purchase the on-demand membership from the product page.  Once you sign-up, you will receive immediate access to your membership.  You can click on the “ON-DEMAND” link at the top of the page, OR you can click the “STREAMING” link sent to you in the purchase email.

Causes of buffering

According to The Guardian, internet speed and your equipment (i.e., computer and router) are the two main factors that affect buffering. But dig a little deeper and you’ll find some underlying components we can uproot, such as:

What type of internet do you have?

Let’s just say this upfront — avoiding all buffering is probably unavoidable. Even with high-speed internet and brand new equipment, any internet service provider (ISP) may still undergo updates or temporary slowdowns that are out of the individual consumer’s control. Some providers schedule system-wide updates after midnight to interrupt as little traffic as possible. 

Identify what type of internet provider you are currently using and see if there is an alternative to either upgrade your speed or switch to a different type of provider in your area.

How many devices are connected at once? 

In our current technology-driven economy where tons of everyday objects are getting upgraded for internet connectivity, it’s easy to overlook how many other devices are low-key Wi-Fi vampires. Devices that may be slowing down your network include connected cameras, doorbells, tablets, smart speakers/voice assistants (like the Amazon Echo), smartwatches, connected lighting … and the list goes on. 

HOW DO I UPDATE MY PAYMENT INFORMATION?

Login to your account from GritCycle.com and make sure you’re on the “ACCOUNT” page.  If for some reason when you login, you do not get taken to the “ACCOUNT” page, click on “LOGIN” at the top of the site.   From the “ACCOUNT” page, scroll down to payment methods, and edit your credit card.  If you delete your credit card and do not add an updated one, you will be removed from the on-demand membership.  You are required to have a credit card on file to maintain access. 

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

An indoor cycling bike and some handheld weights between 1-5 pounds. 

WHAT STYLE OF RIDING ARE THE GRITCYCLE ON-DEMAND CLASSES? 

Our classes are rhythm-based and driven by the beat.  We add in choreography and a weight song so that you are getting a FULL body workout during your class.  Your instructor will guide you through the entire experience, providing you with drill and form cues.  You will also hear the instructor call out a “lead” leg.  This cue is to not only help you find the beat of the music, but it is also done so that when you clip off the bike, your body is balanced.  We do not believe in riding an entire 45-minute class with one dominant lead… this can create imbalances in the body and potentially lead to injury.  FYI – Your instructor is your mirrored image, so you can always watch the screen and mirror their body if you ever feel lost. 

I AM BRAND NEW TO INDOOR CYCLING.  ARE THERE BEGINNER CLASSES IN THE MEMBERSHIP? 

Our classes are designed for riders of ALL levels.  No matter what your experience is on the bike, you CAN clip in with us! Our instructor’s job is to push you, but YOUR job is to honor your body.  You have freedom to modify anything we do in class!  

HOW DO I STREAM GRITCYCLE CLASSES?

Once you login into your account, you can stream your classes directly on whatever device you’re on OR you can screen mirror your class using an AppleTV. For more information on how to properly screen mirror, CLICK HERE

If you’re having trouble with AirDrop, you can troubleshoot using the tips below: 

>>> Clear your browser cache and history.  

>>> Update your browser version – older versions may create compatibility issues that prevent you from streaming video or audio content.

>>> Make sure you’re on the same WiFi.

You can ALSO directly connect your laptop to your TV using an HDMI cable.  This is a super simple, dependable solution! Just make sure you purchase the correct cable.  

DO I HAVE TO RESERVE CLASSES IN ADVANCE?

No! All of your GritCycle classes are on-demand, which means you can sweat ANYTIME you’d like! 

DO I GET LIMITED ACCESS TO EACH CLASS?

Yes AND no… Each class will live within your membership for 3 months.  To keep your workouts fresh, we rotate classes every month.  Here is how it works!  At the beginning of each month 10 NEW classes will get added to your account AND the 10 oldest classes will cycle out.  While a class is in your account, you can watch it AS MANY times as you’d like! 

WILL ALL GRITCYCLE INSTRUCTORS HAVE CLASSES AVAILABLE WITHIN THE MEMBERSHIP? 

All GritCycle instructors have the opportunity to be apart of GritCycle on-demand.  It is completely up to them if they would like to do so.  

HOW DO I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP? 

To cancel your membership, just send us an email at ondemand@gritcycle.com and we will be happy to take care of you!
